Our new home quickly filled with more than just furniture – we were expecting a baby! With the joy of impending parenthood came a new decision: my wife would become a stay-at-home mom. This pivotal moment sparked an idea. To support our growing family, I began crafting unique pieces like coffee tables and stovetop covers, selling them on Facebook Marketplace. What started as a way to supplement income quickly revealed a deeper passion and a clear demand for high-quality, custom furniture. We realized this wasn't just a side hustle; it was an opportunity to build a full-time business and provide lasting craftsmanship to others. After learning more about the industry, we took the exciting step to officially launch Oak Park Woodworks.
